Scholarship

Pier Fish supports our local fishing community.

In 2009, the Pier Fish Family decided to combine its efforts with Downtown New Bedford Inc. and sponsor a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school student, planning on attending college in the fall term of 2009. Geneva Gela was the 2009 recipient of the first award.

To be considered an applicant, you must be senior in high school with a parent employed in the New Bedford Seafood Industry, who has been accepted into an accredited college program for the 2010-2011 year. For further information, please download the application.
